BOCA RATON, FL – (September 28, 2010) Cheers! Planning for the ninth Annual Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction, the Boca Raton Historical Society’s largest and most eagerly anticipated fundraiser is in full swing. Food and wine aficionados will want to mark their calendars because the organizing committee is once again promising an exciting roster of internationally renowned top chefs and vintners, delectable cuisine and scores of fine wines to taste.

Boca Bacchanal benefits the Heritage Education and Historic Preservation Programs of the Boca Raton Historical Society. Scheduled for March 18-20, 2011, the weekend will be uncorked with sumptuous Friday night Vintner Dinners hosted in magnificent private residences, and featuring the talents of the highly acclaimed chefs and vintners. Please check the website at for updates on chefs, vintners, venues and to reserve your space.

Then be ready to dine, dance, bid and “Rock your Bacchus!” At Saturday evening’s Bacchanal & Auction. Hosted at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, this year’s edition transports guests into a tropical Floridian wonderland, where native flora and fauna will be part of a fantasy backdrop for the delectable chef’s reception and multi-course feast, created with the encore participation of the Vintner Dinner Chefs and Vintners. A live auction, along with a silent auction, is the evening’s centerpiece, offering fabulous wine and lifestyle lots up for bid.

“We are keeping some details under wraps at this point, but I have seen the list of Chefs and Vintners, and I can tell you this will be one of the most unique and heralded food and wine events in the country,” said Bacchanal & Auction Co-Chairman Stephanie Miskew. “Part of the fun on Saturday night is the setting, which takes us on a tropical flight of the imagination, with beautiful native vegetation, colorful birds, swimming fish and many delightful surprises. After the sipping, dining and bidding, the evening is just getting started! We invite you to celebrate and “Rock your Bacchus” with music spinning into the wee hours.”

The weekend concludes on Sunday afternoon outdoors at Miner Park Amphitheatre with the popular Grand Tasting, featuring the specialties of 30 outstanding local chefs and scores of top vintners.
