Boca Bacchanal Announces Featured Chefs and Vintners

BOCA RATON, FL – (November 15, 2011) Cheers! The Boca Bacchanal Committee toasted the kickoff of its popular food and wine fundraiser at a recent planning session. They announced the Chefs and Vintners who will be featured at the event, which is scheduled for March 23-25, 2012, at various sites in the Boca Raton area.

“We are very pleased to tell you about our exciting theme for Boca Bacchanal,” said Stephanie Miskew, Co-chairwoman. “This year we will celebrate our 10th Anniversary in grand style, inviting back some of the chefs and vintners who have contributed their sensational talents in the past. We will honor their contributions and thank them for helping to make this such a worthwhile community event.”

Miskew said that the Committee has assembled a core group of nationally acclaimed individuals to help create Boca Bacchanal. “The Vintner Dinners will be very special, since we have matched the chefs with a roster of equally outstanding vintners,” she said.

Boca Bacchanal will feature six sumptuous Friday night Vintner Dinners set in magnificent private residences. The Chef and Vintners will be paired with the hosts of each party, and the eagerly awaited pairings will be announced by the Committee in January at the annual “Pairings Party

On Saturday Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, summons revelers to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Boca Bacchanal at the Bacchus Bash! Savor an extravaganza of sensational food and wine created with the encore participation of the Vintner Dinner Chefs and Vintners. Enjoy a sumptuous reception featuring by-the-bite signature dishes and wines, followed by a multi-course feast prepared by Boca Raton Resort & Club Executive Chef Andrew Roenbeck. Join the excitement as you place your bid at silent and live auctions offering fabulous wine, travel, cuisine and lifestyle lots, then dance and revel into the wee hours!

The Grand Tasting held on Sunday afternoon at the Centre for the Arts Amphitheatre at Mizner Park, and features over 140 wines to sample and “by the bite” specialties of 30 local Restaurants. Sip, savor, stroll and shop at a festive marketplace featuring gourmet edibles to take home, plants, herbs and other selections.

Boca Bacchanal is the biggest fundraiser of the Boca Raton Historical Society, benefitting its Historic Preservation and Heritage Education Programs.
