Boca Raton Historical Society Presents “Taste Bud Tune-up” at Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction Kick-off Party
BOCA RATON, FL – (October 4, 2004) -- The Boca Raton Historical Society invites you to “tune up your taste buds” on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at a food and wine pre-event held in anticipation of Boca Bacchanal, its third annual winefest and auction. Set at the magnificent Boca Raton Resort & Club, the Fall tasting party is designed as a delicious opportunity to explore how wine complements food, while shining a spotlight on the Boca Bacchanal main event, which will take place March 18-19, 2005 at various sites in Boca Raton.
“We anticipate that this party, as well as other tastings we have planned, will set the stage for an outstanding weekend in the spring,” said General Co-chairperson, Kathryn Gillespie. “The events will reach out to include the whole community, and will generate an atmosphere of excitement, shining a bright spotlight on our third annual Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction.
At the party chefs from the BRR&C will create a lavish display of domestic and imported artisanal cheeses and many other specialties, which will be paired with wines selected specifically to compliment the individual characteristics of each dish. Chef James Reaux will be at the ‘top toque’ at this delectable introduction.
For information and to register for the pre-event, please call (561) 395-6766 X 101. A credit card or personal check is necessary to reserve space. The festivities will culminate at the Boca Raton Resort & Club with a reception, multi-course dinner and live and silent auctions. Boca Bacchanal will benefit children's causes in Boca Raton.
