Legal Sea Foods Toasts Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction
3-Course “Toasting Menu” with Specially Selected Wines Featured
Boca Raton, FL - February 24, 2006 - Cheers! Legal Sea Foods will help launch the fourth annual Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction weekend, March 10-11, 2006, with an exciting three course “Toasting Menu” featuring three specially created courses paired with wines that will be poured at the wine festival. Boca Bacchanal is the major fundraising event of the Boca Raton Historical Society and is held at various sites in Boca Raton to benefit its Heritage Education Programs.
The Toasting Menu will be offered for lunch and dinner on Friday, March 10th at all three South Florida Legal Sea Foods restaurants. The wines for the menu were personally selected by Sandy Block, Legal’s Vice president of Beverages, and the only Master of Wine currently directing restaurant wine operations in the United States.
As a tasty bonus, guests who present a Legal Sea Foods dining receipt from a meal eaten at any of the restaurants during the week of Boca Bacchanal (March 5 – 10) will receive a $15 discount (per meal receipt) when presented at the Boca Bacchanal Grand Tasting on the gate admission price of $ 75 /person.
It features an evening of eight superb Vintner Dinners highlighting celebrated chefs and prized vintners on Friday, March 10, and the Grand Tasting on Saturday afternoon, March 11, a “by the bite” food and wine tasting on the green at the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park. The Grand Tasting includes 25 top local restaurants and over 140 different wines, and wine seminars by noted authority Michael Weiss, Professor of Wine Education at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Legal Sea Foods, a founding partner of Boca Bacchanal, will participate in the Grand Tasting for the fourth consecutive year.
The centerpiece of the festivities will be held Saturday evening at The Bacchanal Dinner & Auction at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. This sumptuous evening begins with a reception, followed by a multi- course dinner created by the vintner dinner chefs presided over by the Resort’s Executive Chef, Andrew Roenbeck, and offers live and silent auctions. The live auction will showcase a magnificent array of premium wine and luxurious lifestyle lots, all to benefit the Boca Raton Historical Society’s Heritage Education Programs.
These innovative, diverse and rapidly growing programs are widely utilized and appreciated throughout area schools, civic and cultural organizations, and by interested individuals. Heritage Education Program Partners include Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boys and Girls Club of Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University, Junior League of Boca Raton, and the School District of Palm Beach County.
