The 4 th annual Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction is proud to announce the celebrity chefs and prized vintners who will be convening in South Florida to create eight superb Vintner Dinners as part of the weekend festivities.
Boca Bacchanal is the Boca Raton Historical Society’s largest and most eagerly anticipated fundraiser. Scheduled for March 10-11, 2006, this year’s sensational wine and food event will feature lavish Friday night Vintner Dinners held in private residences, followed on Saturday by informative wine seminars by world-class experts and a delectable Grand Tasting at the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park. During the past summer, following a vigorous survey of current wine treads and those who are making culinary waves, invitations were sent out to an international array of commended vintners and chefs. Each vintner will soon be matched with a chef , and they will create a Vintner Dinner set in a magnificent private home.
“We are very excited about our roster of chefs and vintners. We also want to express our gratitude to the generous hosts, who will be welcoming them to their homes, and completely underwriting each dinner so that 100% of the proceeds go back to the charity, ” said Chris Kearney, Wine Committee Chairman and Vice President of National Distributing Company, the event’s founding wine sponsor. “The Vintner Dinners are a highlight of Boca Bacchanal Weekend."
Working along with Kearney, who personally invites each vintner, are Chef Selection Chairman Carla Marsh, and Vintner Dinner Co-Chairmen Pattie Damron and Cathy Biscuiti. “We combine as a team, each responsible for pulling together the various elements to create each dinner.” Kearney said, noting that they will soon be matching the chefs, vintners and venues, and will be making their selections public. “It is part of our tradition to announce the final pairings at an event in January. This heightens anticipation and is part of the fun.”
