Boca Bacchanal Toasts Tenth Anniversary Celebration
|Boca Raton, Fl – February 1, 2012 - Cheers! Boca Bacchanal makes a stunning return March 23-25 with a festive Tenth Anniversary celebration featuring a delicious food and wine weekend, bidding at dynamic silent and live auctions, music, dancing and much more. The award winning fund-raiser benefits the Historic Preservation and Heritage Education Programs of the Boca Raton Historical Society.
Revelry begins on Friday evening, March 23, with a series of Vintner Dinners spotlighting all-star chefs and vintners as they create signature dishes paired with "top of the portfolio" wines. The announcement of the Chef, Vintner and Venue pairings was made at a Bacchus Beckons party presented by the Boca Bacchanal Committee and hosted by the Boca Raton Resort & Club.
Vintner Dinner hosts, event partners, committee members and enthusiastic patrons enjoyed a sumptuous array of hors d' oeuvres and a variety of wines provided by Founding Partner, Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC).
Boca Bacchanal Honorary Chairmen Kate and Ted Toomey, along with General Chairmen Stephanie and Steve Miskew, recognized the Boca Bacchanal Vintner Dinner hosts, who generously underwrite the Vintner Dinners. They welcome chefs and vintners to private residences to create memorable evenings of sensational food and wine, providing a significant boost to the overall fundraising efforts of the event.
"We are so grateful for the generosity of our gracious hosts and event partners, who completely underwrite the Vintner Dinners so that we can donate 100% of the proceeds to the Boca Raton Historical Society," Stephanie Miskew said. "This year, to commemorate our Tenth Anniversary, we will be infusing each day of the weekend with extra fun and surprises, starting with a stellar lineup of Vintner Dinners. We have invited back some of the outstanding Chefs and Vintners who have contributed to our success, and they are bringing their best to this celebration."
The Boca Bacchanal Committee gives great consideration when matching the chefs and vintners, and then innovatively names the Vintner Dinners to establish a personality for each. "We give a lot of attention to how we match the chefs with the vintners so that each complements the other's distinctive style, and we name the dinners just to make it more fun," said Eli Valdes of RNDC and the Wine Advisory Chairman of Boca Bacchanal. "Then the chefs create their menu and work with the vintners to pair the courses with the perfect wine. The result is an amazing collaboration."
On Saturday evening, March 24, Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, summons revelers to the elegant Boca Raton Resort & Club for the dynamic Bacchus Bash. Guests will savor an extravaganza of sensational food and wine created with the encore participation of the Vintner Dinner Chefs and Vintners. The event begins with a reception featuring small plates and wine pairings and an expansive silent auction livened by a jazzy saxophone accompaniment. A multi-course feast created by the Resort's Executive Chef Andrew Roenbeck will be savored during an exciting live auction. Revelers will then dance to the urban sounds of the Will Bridges band while enjoying decadent dessert and coffee bars in a contemporary lounge area.
