Bacchus Beckons! Sip, Savor and Stroll at Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction

Boca Raton, Fl – (February 15, 2007) Tempted to taste? You will be once you arrive at Boca Bacchanal's Grand Tasting, a by-the-bite luncheon revelry on the green, Sunday, March 11, 2007 from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park. The event is part of the Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction, presented by the Boca Raton Historical Society to benefit its Heritage Education Programs.

At the Grand Tasting you can stroll, taste and savor the delicious specialties of more than 28 of the area's top restaurants, as well as an exceptional presentation of featured wines from over 140 wineries, see food demonstrations, shop for cookbooks and culinary treasures and much more. Wine Seminars by recognized experts are a highlight of the afternoon.

All of the winefest events are equally as tempting. Boca Bacchanal kicks off with an evening of nine superb vintner dinners on Friday, March 9th, each prepared by a nationally celebrated chef paired with a renowned vintner, set in private residences at various sites in Boca Raton and Delray Beach. The centerpiece of the weekend is The Bacchanal & Auction on Saturday afternoon, March 10. This event is a sumptuous afternoon grand tasting reception and luncheon featuring a magnificent array of food and wine, exciting silent and live auctions at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Boca Bacchanal benefits the Boca Raton Historical Society's Heritage Education Programs, which take the past, as well as the unfolding history of Boca Raton, into the community. In 2006, over 3,800 students participated in BRHS education programs; 4,900 residents and visitors enjoyed BRHS history tours, exhibitions, lectures and archival services; 45,000 people visited Boca's historic landmark buildings, Town Hall and the F.E.C Railway Station (Count de Hoernle Pavilion), which are maintained by the Boca Raton Historical society for the community.
