Stellar Wine and Lifestyle Lots up for bid at Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction
Boca Raton, Fl – (February 16, 2007) Let the revelry begin! A weekend of great wine matched with delectable culinary delights will tempt the savvy palates of patrons at the Fifth Annual Boca Bacchanal Winefest &Auction as they prepare to sip, savor and bid at the event's world-class auction, all to support educational causes in Boca Raton. The tasty event is planned for March 9-11 at various sites in the Boca Raton area.
On tap are nine Vintner Dinners at private residences on Friday evening; a Saturday afternoon Bacchanal & Auction at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, and the Sunday Grand Tasting, comprising Wine Seminars and an al fresco food and wine gathering on the green at the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park, showcasing the specialties of 28 top local restaurants and more than 140 wines.
" The wineries participating in Boca Bacchanal come to us from some of the world's great wine producing countries: Italy, Australia, France and the United States," states Chris Kearney, Vice president of National Distributing Company. The centerpiece is The Bacchanal & Auction at Boca Raton Resort & Club, which features a sumptuous reception, leading to rare wines and lifestyle lots at live and silent auctions and a delectable luncheon displaying the culinary talents of top chefs. A glimpse at the stellar lineup of top auction prizes spotlights wine country tours, European vacations and coveted vintage wine lots.
Orchestrating the Bacchanal & Auction are Master of Ceremonies Toni May of WXEL-TV, sensational Auctioneer DawnMarie Kotsonis and Andrew Roenbeck, Executive Chef of the Boca Raton Resort & Club, who will preside over an afternoon culinary event created by renowned fellow culinarians and acclaimed vintners.
These outstanding chefs, who will have also presented Friday evening Vintner dinners, include Michel Richard (Citronelle, Washington, D.C.); Angela Hartnett (Cielo at the Boca Raton Resort & Club); Robert Clark (C Restaurant, Vancouver, B.C.); Kevin Garcia ('Cesca, NY, NY)); Pano Karatassos (Kyma, Atlanta, GA) Zach Bell (Café Boulud, Palm Beach, FL); Joel Huff (Silks at the Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco, CA); David Medure (Restaurant Medure, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL) and Jeremy Sewell (Lineage, Brookline, MA).
