Boca Raton, FL - (February 4, 2008) -- Tempted to taste? You will be once you arrive at Boca Bacchanal’s Grand Tasting, a by-the-bite luncheon revelry on the green, Sunday, March 2, 2008 from Noon to 3:00 PM at the Centre for the Arts Amphitheater at Mizner Park. The festivities, which are presented by the Boca Raton Historical Society, are part of the Boca Bacchanal Winefest & Auction. There are tasty ways for food and wine lovers to participate at every price level, ranging from a Wine Seminar and the Grand Tasting to a luncheon, Vintner Dinners, and the fabulous auction.
At the Grand Tasting you can stroll, taste and savor the delicious specialties of more than 30 of the area’s top restaurants, as well as an exceptional presentation of 140 featured wines. Admission is $75 per person (pre-purchase) and $85 per person at the gate.
All of the winefest events are equally as tempting. Boca Bacchanal kicks off with an evening of eight superb Vintner Dinners on Friday, February 29th. . Each dinner is prepared by a nationally celebrated chef paired with a renowned vintner, set in a magnificent private residence.
The centerpiece of the weekend is The Bacchanal & Auction is presented by Stanford Group on Saturday evening, March 1. This event, held at the Boca Raton Resort & Club, comprises a sumptuous reception and dinner featuring a magnificent array of delectable food and wine and exciting silent and live auctions. The stellar lineup of top auction prizes features wine country tours, European vacations and coveted vintage wine lots.
Boca Bacchanal benefits the Boca Raton Historical Society’s Heritage Education Programs, which take the past, as well as the unfolding history of Boca Raton, into the community.
