of Fall Sizzle at 32 East Boca Bacchanal Pre-Event Party

Beach, FL - October 27, 2003 - The delicious aromas of
fall and the sounds of popping corks filled the air at 32 East
recently as guests sipped selections of red wines. The also savored
an exceptional array of innovative and delicious appetizers, including
Grilled Lamb Kebobs with Pine Nut Feta Salsa; Local Corn Risotto
Cakes with Cabernet Grape Reduction; Spiced & Seasoned Rare
Tuna on Crustini with Celeriac Truffle Emulsion and Prociutto
Wrapped Danjou Pears with Shaved Parmesan, Watercress and Balsamic
Syrup, all prepared by host Chef, Nick Morfogen. The event was
held to preview Boca Bacchanal, the annual winefest and auction
to be held March 19-21, 2004 at various sites in Boca Raton.
Following in the wake of a successful inaugural
event, this will be the second edition of Boca Bacchanal, a weekend
celebration featuring acclaimed chefs gathering from across the
country, prized international and domestic vintners creating wine
dinners in historic homes and grand estates in Boca Raton, a “by
the bite” luncheon and wine tasting at the Centre for the
Arts at Mizner Park, a Grand Finale Auction and Dinner at the
Boca Raton Resort and Club and a Farewell Brunch.

Boca Bacchanal is presented by the Boca Raton Historical
Society (BRHS) to benefit children’s causes in Boca Raton.
The beneficiaries for 2004 are the community programs of the Boca
Raton Historical Society and The Children’s Place South
in Boca Raton, part of The Children’s Place at Home Safe,
a Palm Beach County United Way organization, providing 24-hour
residential and community based services to children and families
impacted by child abuse and neglect, substance abuse and HIV/AIDS.
32 East, a Delray Beach restaurant which has garnered
four consecutive Golden Spoon Awards as one of the state’s
top restaurants, was selected by the planning committee as host
for the October pre-event party. Chef/Partner Nick Morfogen, named
by Food & Wine magazine as one of the nation’s “Top
10 New Chefs, will also be a presenting chef at one of the Boca
Bacchanal Vintner Dinners.
