JACO POTGIETER

Jaco Potgieter has been an oenologist – the science and study of all aspects of wine and winemaking - for DGB Ltd. for more than 10 years at DGB. He has a BSc degree in BSc Agriculture (Wine and Viticulture), University of Stellenbosch and from there has held positions as a cellar master/manager, buyer, assistant winemaker and general manager. He has been a member of Tasting Panels for Veritas and South African Young Wine Competition, and is a member of SA(South Africa) Wine and Spirit Board's Technical Committee and the Oenology Committee of Winetech. Jaco's current responsibility includes managing all new research projects regarding the South Africa Wine Industry.
