Tenuta Silvio Nardi - Three Decades of Brunello
Opening Bid: $1,500
Brunello is a Tuscan grape characterized by extraordinary concentration, acidity and extract. Closed, austere and unapproachable when young, wine made with Brunello (Sangiovese Grosso) blossoms with age. These three bottles from Tenuta Silvio Nardi 1980 Brunello di Montalcino Reserva, 1990 Brunello di Montalcino and 2000 Brunello di Montalcino, demonstrate the impressive way Brunellos evolve in the bottle. They will also whet the high bidder’s appetite for the second element of this lot: a tour and tasting at Tenuta Silvio Nardi in Tuscany, hosted by Emilia Nardi. Visit is to be scheduled in advance; August, harvest and December are blackout dates; transportation and accommodations are not included.

Home Wine Cellar
Opening Bid: $2,000
This package of furniture and wine racks from Bay Colony Wine Cellars is everything you need for a home wine cellar, except for the wine and a cooling unit! Begin with two mahogany-finish wood wine racks, each with a capacity of 200 bottles and a display row for 20 of the finest and/or most interesting wines in the collection. These are versatile racks that can handle Bordeaux, Burgundy and most Champagne bottles. Also included are a hand-crafted highboy tasting table and two stools with leather seats created from reclaimed wine barrels and casks sourced from the Napa Valley. Each piece of furniture is numbered, signed and dated, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Production of items from these rare wood tanks (which held wine for decades in a winery near St. Helena) is limited and this furniture represents irreplaceable pieces of wine history.
